Well, October is coming to a close and the semester is half over...Surprisingly, I've had a fairly relaxed schedule, which has been a nice change from previous years, although I'm expecting things to begin picking up what with final projects and research papers to work on. This last weekend was our Fall Break, meaning two extra days off, and I got to spend it with my sister at my aunt and uncle's (Ernie and Beth's) house in Minneapolis. Prairie and I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours to see our first live Prairie Home Companion show, which was a great experience that neither of us are very sure we want to repeat...we also went and saw the current Weirdest Movie in the Word (aka Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), an experience we were glad to only have to pay $2 apiece for.
With November in sight, there are a number of things to be taken care of in preparation for next semester: applying for a passport, getting a physical, applying for my international student ID, and finding a proxy to go through room draw and registration and check my mail for me while I'm gone. The most important thing on my mind right now though is trying to keep the cold I'm coming down with at bay...
